Shertech Pharmacies (NC/SC) Opening for Nuclear Pharmacist

Shertech Pharmacies is an independent nuclear pharmacy with locations in North and South Carolina.  As one of the top places to live in the US, the western Carolinas are an outdoor enthusiast’s dream.  Located in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains this area provides easy access to hiking and cycling trails, fishing and boating lakes and a variety of camping options, plus it is only a few hours drive to the Atlantic Ocean beaches.  The area is a golfing mecca, features outstanding cultural events and has a variety of public and private colleges and universities. 

Shertech has been compounding and dispensing nuclear pharmaceuticals for distribution to doctors’ offices and hospitals for over 15 years. Recently Shertech built the first cyclotron in upstate South Carolina.  It will supply the next generation of PET drugs to the area.  Shertech provides a competitive compensation package, medical and dental insurance, a 401K with company match, short and long term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance.

Red River Pharmacy Services (RRPS) is an independently owned pharmacy located in the heart of the Red River valley.  Our Texarkana, Texas based pharmacy specializes in Nuclear Pharmacy, IV Home Infusion, Compounding, and Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy. 

 

We are looking to add new members to our healthcare team who share our goal of providing the best possible healthcare for an aging population.  We work closely with our patients as well as with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved for each individual patient. 

 

The pharmacists at Red River Pharmacy are exposed to an array of specialty areas while working in each of our 4 divisions.  The environment is innovative and challenging as well as rewarding.

 

We currently have 2 full-time positions available that will have responsibilities in each division listed above.  We also have 1 part-time position available that will have responsibilities in long-term care only.

Nuclear Pharmacist - NuQuest, Inc - Grand Junction, CO

NuQuest, Inc. is an independently owned and operated Nuclear Pharmacy located in Grand Junction, Colorado.  Grand Junction is in the heart of Western Colorado, which is the gateway to the Rocky Mountains. Job Summary and Responsibilities: 

 

Compound and dispense Radiopharmaceuticals by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities;

  

1. Timely and accurate procurement of radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs, supplies and materials.

2. Compounding of radiopharmaceuticals.

3. Quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals and of instruments, equipment and devices.

4. Dispense radiopharmaceuticals properly and accurately.

5. Distribute radiopharmaceuticals properly and accurately.

6. Radiation safety – handling spills, contamination, ALARA, etc.

7. Maintain open communication and supervise laboratory personnel in the performance of their duties

8. Pinestar software system for data entry/update, end of day reports and daily dose management reports 

9. Assures that packaging and shipping of radioactive material are in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

10. All other duties as assigned

 

 

  Qualifications

 

Eligible to be licensed as a Nuclear Pharmacist in the State of Colorado. Able to become an Authorized User in the State of Colorado. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

An "Authorized Nuclear Pharmacist" is an individual who through appropriate training and experience is qualified and authorized to work independently with radiation sources and to supervise such use by others.

For non-nuclear pharmacists, we provide an extensive training program that includes both the didactic and supervised practice hours you need to become certified as an Authorized Nuclear Pharmacist. 

 

  Work Schedule 

230 AM  - 330 PM with a 2 week on 2 week off rotating schedule with our other Nuclear Pharmacist on staff.
